Whether or not World War Three will happen is up to anybody’s guess, though it could happen anytime between the late 2020s and the early 2030s. Surely certain countries like America will get wrecked real badly there, while some like Israel will emerge victorious. Who knows if other countries like Cameroon and the Philippines will ever get involved in WWIII at all, either as aggressors or neutral during those years. Neutral most likely, since they will neither be affected directly by war nor wage war themselves. So life will go on as usual, usual enough compared to the countries that are either involved in war themselves or be affected directly by it.
The previous World Wars give an idea of what would happen if another world war were to occur, though this would be more surprising and all the more tragic given the number of lives lost would be bigger than these two. (Though it would be good news to those who think that Earth’s overpopulated by humans.) Especially given the possibility of both Russia and China invading America in the late 2020s, Russia is currently invading Ukraine and may even invade Poland later on. China’s trying to find a way to take back Taiwan, who knows if it’ll ever result in a war. Other countries are trying to stay neutral, well as much as they can do about it. Much of Africa and Southeast Asia will do their best to be neutral.
But Europe, North America, China, the Middle East and Russia will be involved in a terrible world war and it will involve the use of nuclear weapons and even biological weapons of mass destruction like viruses sent to infect enemies for instance, watch out if the use of both nuclear and biological weapons of mass destruction are destructive enough to wipe out large numbers of people. Western Europe will definitely wage war on Russia for taking away Ukraine and Poland from them, though Russia will be backed by the Middle East and it would be a terrible fight to behold. America will be terribly devastated from the war, so devastated that it even hurts the economy.
Perhaps in a rather surprising move, Italy will replace America as the world’s biggest economy and the euro will rank higher than the US dollar. Expect the Italian language to become more widely used, even if there are parts of the world that speak English. Well, they’re pretty much leftovers of both the British and American empires so they’re going to be the only ones to cling onto that language. It would even happen a few years before the war, should America plunge into a civil war between people of colour and white people. America wouldn’t be entirely gone, but it wouldn’t be anywhere as powerful as it is today.
Britain would be devastated in the third world war, not just because countries like Jamaica will become more independent of them but also because Canada will fall into Russian hands and Australia into Chinese hands. They could still be part of the British Commonwealth, though with heavier Chinese and Russian influences than what they do and enjoy today. Britain will find a way to either cling onto these two or have them back in some form or another, which would be a thing it will fight Russia and China over. As I said before, during the third world war only the sub-Saharan and Southeast Asian countries will be neutral.
Much of Western Europe (Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Norway and France included) will fight Russia over control over Eastern Europe and the rest of the British Commonwealth, they as well as Ireland will assist Britain in the fight over Canada though who knows who will win this match. Cuba will ally itself with Russia and willingly so as they both share a Communist past, so it would be one of the first North American countries to attack the United States. America will be very devastated in WWIII, becoming a hollow shell of its former self.
No longer the biggest economy (that goes to Italy), parts of America (and North America in general) will be under Chinese and Russian occupation. America will still exist but it will be weaker than it is today, in fact it will be nuked real badly with major cities like Los Angeles and New York being attacked by megatonne nuclear bombs. Canada wouldn’t be nuked, but it will be under Russian occupation. Within continental North America, only Mexico and others will be free from both Russian and Chinese occupation and will prosper quite a lot in those days.
It will have a booming economy while America declines in power, not that Mexico will become a world power but it would be spared from war the same way Africa and Southeast Asia are. Though Mexico will most likely be an aggressor in WWIII, taking back California and Texas from America. It wouldn’t bomb America, but it will attack it in other ways. Any surviving American, Briton and Canadian will flee elsewhere for safety, some will do it in advance to avoid Russian occupation. As I said before, Russia wouldn’t just occupy Poland it will occupy both Canada and parts of America (as others go to China).
Russia will definitely retaliate against Britain over Canada, going so far to raise hell in that island nation. It will attack the rest of Western Europe, with countries like Italy emerging victorious in the postwar years (2030s-2040s) and becoming a real world power this time. Of all the Western European countries, only Italy will be strong enough to fend off Russia. Not only that, it will become a colonial power again regaining Eritrea and finally colonising Ethiopia in WWIII through diplomatic ties. China will still have diplomatic ties to Southeast Asia and Africa, though by then in WWIII both of them will be first world.
Perhaps before WWIII begins, with Nigeria becoming a first world country this year followed by its neighbours and elsewhere in Africa. Democratic Republic of Congo too will become a world power or at least a rich country in a far shorter time span, since it will finally harness its uranium deposits and even go on supplying them to Brazil and Nigeria. All the African countries will gain new presidents this year and become first world in a very short period of time, accomplishing far more than anybody would’ve expected and may even be peaceful during WWIII.
Perhaps ironically as the Western world plunges into war, the Southeast Asian and African countries will prosper and live peacefully. But then again as I said before, they will be neutral so they’re going to have little involvement in war in any way. Some Western countries like Britain and America will be devastated in WWIII, some like Italy and France will prosper after the war and Italy may even become the biggest economy in the postwar years. Canada and Australia will fall into Russian and Chinese hands respectively, something that some of you reading this will not live to see.
But it will be in the news, alongside Jamaica becoming a republic. Perhaps in WWIII, there will be a confederation of Caribbean countries though only Cuba will side against America due to its communist ties. Even then life in WWIII and life beyond that will be different from life as it is today, especially in the Western world where they will be devastated by war real badly.
