I somehow think the idea of homosexuality being connected to witchcraft, though not entirely forgotten, seems to be ironically studied more by secular scholars and folklorists (who are at least indifferent yet curious) than by those who should know better. To be fair Renaissance folks, like Valangi and Azande, strongly link homosexuality to witchcraft as they’re both diabolically unnatural.
The connection’s increasingly missed out in Europe, even by believers due to centuries of secularism. Because of that, it can be easy to miss out the other real reason why homosexuality’s abhorred in both the Koran and Bible. If homosexuality’s linked to witchcraft, then there’s a solid reason for such disdain. Especially if it ‘s frightening and macabre.
