Awhile ago after praying, I received a vision from God about this cartoonist whom I liked reading his works ended up doing Christian art and hanging out in churches after going broke. I even imagined him smiling if only because he finally found God. That he makes a living from selling his works in church seems to be his happy ending.
It seems like the number of evangelical Christians are rising in places like China and Brazil. Though I also wonder if they’re also growing in Japan. Perhaps unsurprisingly a declining population might account for anime’s fanbase becoming too calcified and insular. Meanwhile a growing Christian populace might take in some figures, including cartoonists.
Who knows but I could see a Chinese missionary preaching the gospel in Europe.
