I Put A Spell On You

Celestial has a prophecy about what will happen to the popstar Beyonce, going on saying that she’s going to meet an untimely death in the future for her actions. Some of which involves witchcraft and human sacrifice that she even killed somebody else’s cat and tried to threaten them with sorcery, you should know what Celestial has been saying about her for some time. That Beyonce delights in being worshipped as an idol says a lot about her pride, so if she dies then her pride dies with her. Pride goes before the fall, so it seems it’s true for her and other celebrities who share the same sentiment.

Another has done the same thing but with Taylor Swift and who knows if she does the same sort of ritual Beyonce has been assumed of doing, if she did then it shouldn’t come as a surprise if certain sex acts aren’t just forbidden by God but also used in witchcraft in some way. Which is the point of her blog that people will do anything and everything, including anal sex of all things, when doing witchcraft at all and she even said that a scandal will befall the Backstreet Boys when it comes to this sex act. I even think Brian Littrell, one of the Backstreet Boys, might also be prideful in the sense that he relishes the attention his fans give to his band.

But as a Christian he shouldn’t be condoning this, since it’s practically idolatry in the sense of worshipping something else other than God. Backstreet Boys fans may not worship the band at first glance, but it is idolatry in the sense that they prioritise it above God. They put too much faith in the band to the point where its members end up enabling this behaviour, because it tends to make them really proud and it would be disturbing if they all have the audacity to show up as demons just to play the song ‘Everybody’. As if Brian Littrell doesn’t really worship God himself, given he basks in the attention his fans give to him and his band.

That Celestial points out Beyonce practises witchcraft makes me wonder how widespread this practice is among many musicians, so much so that there’s a secular book pointing this out but with other musicians instead. It’s called ‘Season of the Witch’ which has a section or chapter on David Bowie’s involvement in the occult, that Taylor Swift (of all people) also turned out to be into witchcraft or at least sympathetic to it in some way shows you how common this turns out to be. Even if not all musicians do this, there are those who do honour God but it seems for others what the world offers is an easy way out.

Even if it doesn’t offer the best answer to their problems, or in Littrell’s case, makes it easy to get sucked in despite one’s conscience going against this. Mr Littrell might as well be a good case of how the Bible warned about not allowing God’s people to hang out with the ungodly for long, especially if they turn out to be a bad influence that no sooner or later they fall away. Solomon fell into this trap and had to repent in some way with the Book of Ecclesiastes, unfortunately Mr Littrell never bothered pulling a Solomon to get out of there. To the point where whenever he worships God, it feels half-hearted because of his worldliness.

While there are truly godly musicians who do honour God a lot, the same can’t be said of Beyonce, Swift and even Brian Littrell because their hearts are far from him. They either do or condone things forbidden in the Bible, two practise witchcraft and all three condone idolatry as it feeds into their pride. Beyonce even has a church mass dedicated to her, which is how idolatrous it practically and essentially is. It’s even worse if a Christian like Brian Littrell condones his fans’ idolatry of the band, if because he either knows better or should know better given his conscience and faith in God.

I’m afraid he and his band will also face an untimely death, by drowning if part of Florida ever falls into the ocean because of their actions. It’s not wrong to have supportive fans but when you condone and enable your fans’ idolatry of yourself, it seems like you secretly want to be this worshipped and adored by many people. It’s not just a Beyonce problem, it’s not just a Taylor Swift problem. It’s also the very problem with the Backstreet Boys, as one of them is a Christian and should know better but unfortunately never got around to convict and put and end to this.

I also wonder if other musicians like David Bowie and Michael Jackson may have also condoned idolatry, given it feeds into their pride in a lot of ways and when both turn out to be involved in the occult in some way then they really have given themselves to the world. One can be in the world but not of the world, which’s something these musicians fail to do on a consistent basis. The world offers a lot of things that are attractive, but if the first will be the last and the last will be the first then what it offers is second best. God will use anything to shame the powerful and mighty, he has done this with his own son being working class.

He can shame these celebrities when he needs to, given what they’ve done is deplorable considering their Christian backgrounds. That the Backstreet Boys will dress up as demons in a forthcoming concert makes you wonder which supernatural figure they are more loyal to, it’s not going to be God because that would mean their hearts are far from him. Most surprisingly it’s Brian Littrell who might turn out to be rather half-hearted in his devotion to the Lord, due to his own pride that he secretly revels in the attention his fans give to him and his band. The Backstreet Boys will also meet an untimely fate of sorts.

Don’t let a witch to live, so it is true for these celebrities. David Bowie died from cancer, Michael Jackson from an overdose. Same with Prince, who even alludes to the Devil a lot. This too will befall Taylor Swift, Beyonce Knowles and the Backstreet Boys in the near future.

Ain’t Too Proud To Beg

I remember something on YouTube where somebody insinuated that some celebrities like Taylor Swift enable their fans’ idolatry of them because it makes them really proud, but similar things can be said of the Backstreet Boys which might be worse because one of them is a Christian. As Christians are called to be humble, not be stumbling blocks to people and not indulge in idolatry this is something that Brian Littrell has consistently failed to do and repent in any way. Perhaps like Swift herself, he’s also proud of the attention he gets. So proud that he and his bandmates want more of it, the more they enable their fans’ idolatry of them.

No wonder why they’re so devoted, but when God is a jealous God one wonders about where Littrell’s loyalty lies should he and his band show up as demons in Mexico to play the song ‘Everybody’. As one reaps what they sow, so more scandals will rock the band. One of them will be outed for sex trafficking of minors and immigrants, another for adultery and battery that his soon to be ex-wife files for divorce as she’s going to have enough of him. Perhaps light really shouldn’t have fellowship with darkness, which means Littrell might easily end up going with the flow instead of going against it as he should. If this is true, then Littrell should be more careful with who he fraternises with lest he stray away from God. I don’t think he himself would be comfortable hearing this.

If because that would mean the more he enabled his fans’ devotion to his band, the more he drifts away from God which puts him in a bad situation. Either he has to quit ahead of time to avoid losing face (in front of God), or he worsens the more he enables it to the point where he might await a worse fate. Not just death but many more scandals awaiting, it could all be tied to something some fans do and it’s lust. One of them will turn out to be into sex trafficking, the other’s a massive cheater and abuser. That and a possibly orgy that will happen in their Mexican tour from dressing up as demons.

Something he should’ve known all along, but unfortunately never bothered to.

Mad World

Since the Bible speaks about being in the world, but not of the world that in some regards Christianity is a pretty countercultural religion especially in this day and age. The Bible tends to be either negative or mixed about what the world celebrates, until you realise why Biblical writers and God are like this. They’re not entirely against certain things, maybe to a certain point and within reason. But at other times I feel what the Bible has to say may go against what many Christians do, love and believe.

Admittedly this depends on the church and country, but there are some places that do link dogs to witchcraft not helped by that the Bible mostly has a low opinion of dogs and that there’s this one verse that mentions both dogs and witches together. It seems like how the dominant culture (even the dominant Christian culture) treats children as a burden, beings needing to be harshly disciplined and scolded whereas dogs seem to get off easily.

But in light of dog predation and pathogenesis wiping out species that dogs would emerge as the bigger liability of the two, though that involves seeing dogs as what the Bible knew them as. Even if positive portrayals of dogs exist in the Bible and throughout Christianity, the evidence is mixed at best so the Biblical stance on dogs could be inconclusive at times if the Book of Tobit and even the story about Jezebel were taken into consideration. So the general attitude to dogs is also mixed depending on the locale and version of the Bible.

It’s even more mixed in extrabiblical beliefs where on one hand you have dogs linked to saints like St Francis of Assisi and Saint Dominic, but on the other hand they’re linked to witchcraft and the Devil himself not helped by that there’s one Bible verse that mentions both dogs and sorcerers together as said before. Admittedly this is the same with cats too when it comes to saints like Saint Gertrude and Saint Agatha, the latter who’s even said to turn into a cat herself.

(Coincidentally both animals get used in Christian monasteries the world over.)

Then we get to how Christians get accidentally complicit in someone’s vices or sins, especially if they themselves aren’t particularly aware of what they’re doing is wrong. Sort of like the thing about nudity in art, if it leads somebody to lust then avoid it. It’s this simple but that involves becoming more responsible with what one does, because they shouldn’t be a stumbling block to others. That involves being more careful with what they do, because it too could lead someone to sin. But one people will not be comfortable with.

Because this involves realising they’ve set up stumbling blocks for people, or aren’t aware of their actions leading others to sin. This is something those in the art community will not admit or realise in any way, because they are accidentally complicit in some way that they too need to bear the onus of their actions. I don’t think a lot of Christians, especially if they’re into the arts, seem deeply aware of how deeply entrenched perversion is into them. I guess a lot of it dovetails into the school of thinking that self-expression dominates them.

But when it dovetails with the satanic ‘my will be done’ thing, this is the real answer why perversion persists and grows in the arts. This is also likely the reason why so many artists are into the occult and the Devil, even if Christian artists do exist but they are a minority compared to these people. I don’t think Christian artists will comfortable with this, even if it makes itself evident with the numerous references to the Devil as well proliferating depictions of various paraphilias.

Then we get to Christians being really strict or harsh on children, perhaps far too harsh at times because I think deep down inside it’s their way of getting back at secularisation. But without knowing that it comes off as wanting to be better than everybody else, it’s a holier than thou mentality that alienates everybody and the likely reason why we have so many exvangelicals. I do get the feeling why Christians support spanking and harsh discipline is because they think it’s the right thing to do, but with seeing others as beneath them.

Children, Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, everybody else who seem to be enemies of Evangelical Christianity; I feel a lot of Evangelicals (and Protestants in general) get far too proud of themselves, thinking they are better than everybody else. Ironically atheists might be humbler than them, in the sense of not knowing any better. The Bible emphasises the need to love one’s enemies, which is something Evangelicals fail to do so often. More often than not, they tend to be snarky and harsh towards everybody else.

They tend to be harsh on children, even though the Bible insists that they shouldn’t provoke children to anger. No wonder why so many of them quit Christianity because of those awful experiences, they shouldn’t be proud of themselves because they are ultimately human like everybody else. I feel Evangelicals have the need to seek an enemy, just so they can scold and chastise them a lot whilst mostly ignoring certain things the Bible also condemns.

No wonder why they condone spanking, sexism, sexual abuse, racism and other vices because they see nothing wrong with those, or at least see others as violating their standards and beliefs a lot. But then again the same principle holds for exvangelicals, who are evidently fed up with their every whim and hypocrisy. Then we get to another sin or vice that many Christians don’t seem particularly aware of, some may even condone it and it’s gluttony.

Part of the problem lies with how some Protestant churches tend to hold potlucks, which contributes to gluttony for some people but one they ought to be careful with. Then the other part is that Christians see nothing wrong with gluttony, they barely ever talk about and oppose the way they do with LGBT. If only they kept the same energy for gluttony, then that would mean gluttony got off easily out of all the seven deadly sins. This dovetails with the need for fasting in Christianity, but the problems lies with enabling gluttony in many ways.

Because Christians unwittingly enable certain things that God condemns, this is why Evangelicalism and the like have so many problems that could be solved by following God’s word.
