An American Tragedy

It’s been said and speculated that Walt Disney may have been involved in the occult himself, perhaps confirming what Analia Campbell realised about him. The real smoking gun is that Disney has a Satanic cartoon called ‘Hell’s Bells’, so it seems the well had been poisoned before. So it was going to get worse over time, sometimes in ways we don’t expect it to given its wholesome and family/child-friendly air. But what makes it more tragic is that Walt’s own grandfather, Kepple Disney*, was a practising Christian. So much so he tried his hardest to forbid his son (and Walt’s father) from playing worldly music.

I even find myself wondering if Walt Disney could be something like Nimrod, the grandson of Noah who continued his father’s rebelliousness and built an empire to oppress God’s people with. If so then Walt can be said as the Nimrod of entertainment, it seems fun and charming but ultimately godless and ungodly all the way. Not that there aren’t any Christians working for Disney, one of them is Tony Bancroft and there could be at least several more of them around. Perhaps it’s like the situation where Abraham begged God to spare some people, especially if they’re godly people and he did what concerned the former.

There are people working for Disney who could be saved, perhaps they can be spared in some sense. We can pray for their salvation, then wait for God’s answer to show up. Even if there are things Disney produces that are spiritually neutral, one would wonder if this opens up the potential to be more deceptive given how innocuous they seem to be. I’m not saying Disney products can’t be enjoyed, but we ought to be more careful with what we consume and use. I guess it will be hard to give up on Disney in some way because we grow attached to it, perhaps God will allow something else to take Disney’s place when he sees fit. That’s if the curse that Elias Disney brought upon himself can’t be undone, to the point where something else has to substitute for Disney.

Who knows what will this be, but it could be a true antithesis of Disney. Perhaps because the Disney family and brand became so tarnished by corruption, that it seems what could’ve been a lasting Christian legacy left by Kepple has been undone by both Elias and Walt. If God could remove something and substitute it for something else, he could make it happen when he wills it to. But I think this could be the most shocking twist on Disney’s legacy, given his family’s Christian roots being undone in some way. Even if Disney were to be around for long, it will be surpassed by something else.

Perhaps this is what will undo Walt’s legacy, given this is a man who gave into worldly things despite his family’s Christian past.

Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

Celestial had this prophecy about immigrants and their relatives leaving America for their home countries and the like, with God using certain circumstances to get their attention or something like that. I kind of prayed for certain people to leave America for Canada and Mexico for this same reason or concern, I wouldn’t want them to get caught in the crossfire so it’s best that they leave as well. I even prayed that Grant Gustin would leave America for Italy in case if another civil war happens, otherwise he too would become another casualty.

If another civil war breaks out in America, if people don’t leave beforehand, either they become casualties or get conscripted into either side. Adam Driver would most likely get conscripted, putting an end to his acting career. Other actors and actresses will most likely die, especially if there’s no other choice but to leave them this way. Family members will turn against each other, as what God had prophesied in the Bible. It would be a real bloody political war, between liberals and conservatives.

That’s why I really want Grant Gustin to leave America for Italy, otherwise he’d either die a casualty or get conscripted into war. But if he has no interest in fighting, then leaving America is his best chance. If the prophecy does come to pass, people will definitely leave America for various reasons. Some will come to help a relative whose husband is dying from cancer, well that would be a good thing since she got fired from her job. Otherwise she’d suffer in poverty because she has no other support.

If God can use anything to make people leave America for their homelands, at least they have excuses for no longer living there anymore.

Culturally Inappropriate Comedy

When it comes to discussions over what constitutes as cultural appropriation, it’s generally taking aspects of a culture whilst enforcing stereotypes about it and/or disrespecting the people behind it. Adrien Brody, an actor who hosted the programme Saturday Night Live, might be a good example of this. Not because he’s funny but because when he was introducing Jamaican musician Sean Paul he donned a dreadlocked wig and spouted fake Jamaican phrases.

In an attempt to honour Jamaican culture and Jamaicans, he ended up belittling them even by accident. If he did this in 2013 or 2020, he wouldn’t just be banned but also be roasted a lot on social media even though others have done something similar before at the time of its airing. While there could’ve been forum threads and LiveJournal essays about this before, in an era where there’s growing awareness of cultural appropriation and other racist ills such a gag will not fly well these days. Even then, Brody’s attempt at honouring Jamaican culture’s offensive at worst.

Sadly, cultural appropriation’s still being done not just to black people but also to anybody else. There are Jews who take offence whenever Christians appropriate and misinterpret their practices, treating them as a commodity for an apocalypse instead of an actual culture to be respected. (For some reason, you’ll never see Christians learning Aramaic, even though that’s one of the languages used for some Biblical texts.) What makes cultural appropriation problematic is how insincere it comes off to other people. It’s not admiration.

It’s not even assimilation, it’s disrespecting people and culture while borrowing facets of it. It reinforces stereotypes or narrow views of a certain culture, for instance it’s like thinking only Jews speak Hebrew but not Yiddish nor Aramaic. The latter’s even used in the Bible. They do things without the others’ consent or respect, that’s why cultural appropriation is bad.

Only a sex object

There are recent headlines about Leonardo DiCaprio breaking up with his current girlfriend once she hit 25, somebody told a newspaper the real reason why Leonardo DiCaprio breaks up with women when they hit 25 is that he doesn’t want a family to attend to. If these women demand to get married, he breaks up with them. It’s possible to marry somebody below your age and be in a lifelong relationship with them, but that involves seeing them as a person and not as a disposable sex object.

While one doesn’t have to be promiscuous to objectify somebody, objectification still plays a part in one’s disposability. They’re disposable once they’ve reached their purpose and get swapped with somebody else, one could do this with those of other ethnicities but they’d also be othered and expected to fulfill a racial stereotype. A stereotype they themselves may not and will not always fulfill, which’s why you should pay attention gay black men when they get angry about the well-endowed stereotype.

There are probably women who’re hurt by DiCaprio’s habit of dumping them once they got older, since they knew they were treated as interchangeable and disposable objects based on a certain quality they have. Leonardo DiCaprio evidently sees them as sex objects, good for one thing and that’s just it. While he may be concerned about the environment, he never seems concerned about his girlfriends as actual people who long to be in a lifelong relationship.

If that source is true, he does have a habit of dumping women who long to be in a lifelong relationship with him given he has all the resources needed to make it work. He could’ve had a child and sent them to a good school, while supporting his would-be wife. But since he doesn’t want a family and marriage, so he shot himself in the foot when he has a habit of dumping women whenever they got older.

Compare this to his contemporary, Christian Bale. He isn’t any better in some regards but the fact that he settled down and got a family whilst not dumping his wife for another woman repeatedly says a lot about the way he views women. Considering that DiCaprio was something of a heartthrob in the 1990s, while Bale wasn’t well to the same extent it makes me think this got into the former’s head where he still wants to portray himself as sexually available even though he let himself go.

It’s not that there aren’t any women who date men younger than they are, but I’m afraid that there are many other men who’re socialised to think that younger women are more desirable than older women. Leonardo DiCaprio may’ve been influenced by this, internalised it and carries it out more frequently than any of his contemporaries as far as I know about this. As I said before, Bale’s probably no saint but he doesn’t have a habit of dumping women after they reach a certain age the way DiCaprio does.

One could be single without objectifying people that much, but that involves a greater deal of self-control than one’s used to if they were to become celibate. But it gets complicated by other factors like misogyny, which I suspect DiCaprio’s prone to. As in he thinks women are only good for a few things, once they hit a certain age they become undesirable (there are MGTOWs who think the same way too). Bale, to my knowledge, never seemed to be like this.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s one of those men who see women as disposable sex objects, goes after women with certain traits and never wants to remain committed to one for long. Christian Bale’s not one of those men, which gets interesting that DiCaprio was considered to play the killer Patrick Bateman on American Psycho. Gloria Steinem didn’t want him to play the part, considering she was concerned for his fanbase at the time so Bale got the part. Ironically Bale’s less misogynistic and ageist than DiCaprio is.

Especially given DiCaprio’s habit of dumping women when they get older, so it seems from a teenaged fangirl point of view DiCaprio has feet of clay. Still, there are probably other men who have a habit of dumping women after women be it Pablo Picasso or probably Al Pacino himself. DiCaprio’s not alone in this regard, but this has to stop.

Steroids, what’s got to do with it?

There are some people who believe that there are Hollywood actors who do take steroids, while there are those who take it for beneficial reasons like dealing with asthma, others take steroids to improve their chances of gaining muscle especially when older (that’s when testosterone levels drop). I think I talked about this before, but if there are Hollywood actors who do take illicit drugs then steroids is one of them. It may be true, it may not be true. It’s pretty much Schrodinger’s drug, either they took it or they didn’t.

If testosterone levels do drop at an older age, then those nearing middle age or are middle-aged themselves are at risk for this. Especially if they stopped exercising for a certain role, that’s when it gets worrisome. Those who keep on exercising from youth to middle age would be exempt from this, unless if one them also takes steroids which’s just as bad. There are those who do get fit without being high on steroids, though that still takes time to get this fit (possibly several or a few years to get really fit).

Still, there might be only a handful of Hollywood actors who admit to using steroids. No doubt, it has become more commonplace for them to take steroids but since steroid use among athletes dates back to the 1950s they have set a precedent for actors to follow. If I’m not mistaken, steroids are used to enhance one’s physical activity. They may not always make muscles grow, maybe not to the same extent as exercising does but it does make it faster and easier to gain muscle.

There are however negative side-effects to this; not just more acne but also gaining breasts for some men as testosterone gets converted to oestrogen. I’m not going to be judgemental, though I do think it’s not that impossible for some actors to take steroids especially when it comes to superhero roles. This doesn’t mean every superhero actor does steroids to play a fictional character, but it does raise the risk for steroid use for some people especially if they’re tempted to do it the fast and easy way.

I wouldn’t really know if they actually did steroids or not, but some of them likely do and one of them would be caught dead for it. This may be true, this may not be true. Though if one of them gets caught dead for steroids, it would have ramifications for the superhero film and television industry. Actors and models would be tested for doping, the same way athletes have been subjected to for years. To be fair, there are certainly athletes and models who don’t do steroids at all.

Some actually do things the hard way, though there are others who dope and cheat. This is probably true for superhero and action actors, there are those who do things the hard way and those who cheat. There are also a few superhero actors who were truly athletic, something like Dave Bautista being an actual wrestler before he did acting. Who knows if he does steroids or not, he could be one of them but he could also be not of them too. Somebody would come out and be caught dead doing steroids.

They could be anybody, Dave Bautista could be one of them. But as I said before, he may not even do steroids at all. However, there’s a strong possibility that one day one of them would be caught dead doping which could have damning effects for the superhero industry. Perhaps even leading to a strong push for more body diversity. That might even be a good thing, especially for those who’re fat or thin. They needn’t to be pressured to look in a certain way, now that they have role models to look up to.

There would be a backlash to people who do campaign for bodily diversity, though I think it’s most likely going to be the same misogynists and racists who complain about more diversity in geek media assuming if a superhero actor were caught dead doing steroids at all. This person would be the Zoe Quinn of superhero television, in that she was the subject of controversy when it came to Gamergate. Gamergate, being a misogynistic and racist gaming movement, created Vivian James to spite people.

Chances are they’ll also create a character to spite him and his cohorts as well. No doubt, there’ll come a time when superhero actors start showing their hands and get caught dead for it. Not all superhero actors necessarily do steroids, but some of them would be caught dead doing it. This would be the start of a big controversy, perhaps bigger than Comicsgate when it comes to the world of superhero film and television.

Attraction

When it comes to whoever becomes a sex symbol, especially among geeky cishet women, there are the more obvious choices then comes the more unexpected ones. There are some women who’re (sexually) attracted to the actor Christian Bale, but it’s Adam Driver who’s become an unexpected geek sex symbol mostly because he’s so unlike most actors we’ve come and known. I could say many of the same things about Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston, two men whose roles have made them into Tumblr sex symbols.

When it comes to fictional characters, there are also unexpected cases where in the case with the video game Undertale while many of the characters also got sexualised by fans it’s Sans who’s become a major male fandom sex symbol in a way that Mettaton hasn’t. When it comes to what some women are into, they’re not always beholden to what’s expected of them to be into. Some women aren’t into muscular or fat men, some women aren’t into tall men either.

Then there are men het women aren’t supposed to be attracted to in any way, which probably accounts for why Tumblr sexymen become the way they do. Some of these characters aren’t buff, some of them tend to be thirsted after whenever they tend to be skinny and appear in a suit. Dick Grayson is sexy, but he’s not a sexyman the same way Riddler and Venom have become. That doesn’t stop Grayson and his ilk from being the subject of many slash fanfics, but when it comes to sexymen they’re a class of their own.

They’re pretty much major geek sex symbols in a way the more conventionally attractive men aren’t, not that they aren’t unattractive but they don’t garner a big, defensive fanbase the way these characters do.

The Dark Side Of Hollywood Body Transformations
Mark Vazquez

The human body simply can’t do that with just “chicken and broccoli” and 2-a-days in a few months. Otherwise professional athletes (as opposed to professional actors) would make the same transformations routinely. But they don’t–or at least haven’t since steroid testing was implemented in major sports. Keep in mind, many of these actors are not even athletic to begin with; they were theater types who started working out later in life, who all of a sudden transform into a jacked beast with insane vascularity and single digit body fat in less than a year. And they somehow do it all into their 40s without getting injured?

Excellent point about these guys not being athletes, they’re thespians, they are not the most gifted genetically, compared to the athletic world. As a former college football player myself, i never took any PEDs but always had above average genes for building muscle and staying lean. Even then, theres absolutely no way you could do these kinds of transformations naturally. Getting that lean, yes. Adding muscle, much less 40 lbs of muscle at the same time? Absolutely no way.

There were some people on YouTube who pointed out that many, if not all, actors don’t have actual athletic ability and the right genes for quick muscle building. Some of these actors probably do steroids just so they can get buff though it could also be said of athletes as well. Nonetheless I also think that there are athletes and actors who don’t do steroids, though especially with the latter it takes a longer time to get this buff.

There are probably athletes who are hardgainers, but there are those who do get muscular fairly quickly and many athletes practise sports earlier so they get muscular earlier as well. Okay, not all athletes are really buff but they get muscular earlier from playing sports a lot at an early age. So they have conditioning since day one, any actor who’s been doing sports at an early age have a good chance of developing good muscle tone since muscle building declines with age.

People like Hugh Jackman not only were hardgainers but also never particularly athletic (and hardly ever that trained in any field that demands physical activity) so building on muscle would come harder for them than it would for anybody who constantly does physical activity, let alone since childhood. Somebody who had athletic training as a child (and teenager) would have an easier time gaining muscle relatively faster than somebody who didn’t.

If muscle building declines with age, those who’ve been doing a lot of physical activity (or a big degree of it) since childhood would have a better chance of developing serious muscle tone while those who don’t would have a hard time doing it. Though that doesn’t stop some athletes from doing steroids, there’s nonetheless pressure for both actors and athletes to get better in physical activity. So some take shortcuts, others do it the hard way.

I think it’s a combination of genetics and early in life training that makes the difference, somebody who’s both genetically and athletically gifted would gain muscle pretty easily. Somebody who’s a hardgainer and not athletic would have it harder. Of course, there are people who do things the quick and dirty way. They do themselves dirty by staking performance enhancing drugs, regardless of the nasty side-effects they have.

Knew it all along

When it comes to Hollywood attracting the ire of Christians, conservatives and feminists some of them are actually reasonable like say how and why certain characters (of other genders and ethnicities) are portrayed in rather stereotypical ways that harm perceptions of those people.

Likewise when it come to attacking Christians and Christianity, not all films, directors and actors necessarily do this (some of them are Christians like Mel Gibson) but some of them do to the point where it really does confirm some suspicions and distrust of it. Add closeted perverts to it, then Hollywood’s shady all the way.

The Shadiness of Hollywood

I do realise that some Christians and conservatives do reasonably distrust or suspect Hollywood in some manner, whether if it’s the occult (not helped by that some celebrities are openly into those, even if not all of them do let alone for a long time when they go Christian) or suspicions of queer activity.

Even outside of Christian sources, what’s practically the same problem or suspicion’s acknowledged with a good number of old school Hollywood actors being closeted queers. (For some reason, I get the impression that some of those characters would’ve also come out as transgender if they’re born today.)

That and never-ending racism and sexism makes me think that Hollywood’s shady either way, anyways.

The Shady Side of Hollywood

Well-known even to secular outsiders but also something some secular conservatives and religious people warned and knew about, in the sense of knowing some of those Hollywood characters are into the occult, have disturbing tastes and the like that I might have to elaborate on later.

This is as if it’s like knowing there are some celebrities involved in the occult, even if not all of them do this and some do become Christians to be fair and generous just as there are some sympathetic to Christianity and republicans. An association not helped by some celebrities being this open about it, even if not all of them do.

That and indulging in lurid activities is also tabloid fodder, but also something that some people will use to describe how decadent Hollywood is to be fair.
