What if it’s a guy?

When it comes to the way women are portrayed in such media, which made worse by the sort of occupations they work in that would preclude such attire. Considering that Cammy White is something of a soldier, it wouldn’t make sense for her to wear a thong in combat. Not to mention she doesn’t seem to be a particularly flirtatious character at all, so it wouldn’t make sense for her to dress this way until recently. One would only wonder why Abby Sciutto would dress like a sexualised little girl from time to time, whereas if she were male and often wore tight trousers and a mesh shirt you’d say that she looks perverted or unprofessional. Supposing if I have a character called Fabrice Tientcheu and dresses in a tight shirt and trousers, despite being a scientist, you’d say this is inappropriate.

But that’s what people have been doing to Abby Sciutto from time to time, if it doesn’t make sense for a forensic scientist like her to dress like a sexualised schoolgirl, then you should know this by now when I’m proposing Fabrice’s presentation to you. That’s not to say there aren’t any male characters that wear mesh shirts before and the like, one example would be the one found in the Ali G movie and another in the X-Man comics (I think). Though I don’t think these kinds of appearances are recurring to the extent that both DC’s Black Canary and Zatanna get, even though oddly enough the former herself isn’t actually and exactly so flirtatious and promiscuous. She’s only ever involved in just two relationships with men, that’s about it really. Well to my knowledge, but you should get where I’m coming from.

Supposing if somebody has the audacity to publish a game featuring a man wearing bondage trousers, despite appearing to wear a suit, that he’s also a salesman makes one wonder why he’s dressed this way. You’d think he might risk tripping onto something, or whatever you think would befall him. But this is what people have been doing to female characters before in a way, some of these outfits also put them into unwanted accidents if you think about this. Graham Knightley might seem perverted and strange to you, because he actually wears bondage trousers with a suit. But when you have Cammy White, who’s supposedly a soldier, yet wore a thong leotard it should give you an idea of how bad this is for years.

It’s not that there aren’t any male characters who wear these garments before, though not very often because people would think these are too kinky/fruity/whatever, despite doing the same things to their female counterparts. These may not be directly equivalent but let’s say Colin Sallow is the son of a politician and studies political science himself, yet he dresses in a tight shirt and tight trousers with a suit that one might wonder why he dresses this way. You’d say he doesn’t look respectable, well at least some of you would feel this way. But one would wonder why somebody like Lara Croft would wear crop tops and booty shorts to work in archaeology, it’s essentially no different really.

Add to that both Fabrice and Colin have very muscular physiques, their shirts are almost kind of like body paint that one would might wonder why do they have to show off their bodies in some way despite being a scientist and a politician respectively. But then again Lara Croft was shown as particularly buxom before, like she has to show off her breasts in some way despite being an archaeologist herself. Or for another matter, Cammy White showing off her bum for years despite being a soldier. You might argue in here but the point I’m making is that if you make a male character dress in this sort of way to show off his physique, despite being a scientist/politician or why he’d wear bondage trousers (despite being a salesman), this is to give you an idea of what’s been done to the womenfolk.

Not to mention I feel these portrayals of women might even contribute to body dysmorphia for some people, like they feel inadequate looking at these characters. Like they could never ever be them in some way, despite people’s insistence that they are strong female characters. It’s like their good qualities and strengths get undermined by dressing and appearing in such a sexualised way that it would be unthinkable had they been men, like if you’re fine with Abby Sciutto dressing in a minidress then you should be fine with a male Abby Sciutto dressing in a tight shirt and trousers. Even if Abby Sciutto doesn’t always dress this way and neither does Fabrice Tientcheu, it’s still strange dressing her as if she were a little girl beyond her years.

It’s something one would never do to a man really. Why on earth would a professional grown woman working in forensics dress like a little girl? Would you be fine with her if she was a man who dresses in fishnet shirts, tight trousers and sometimes tight shirts? That’s what people have been doing to womenfolk, like they often dress provocative for no reason at all. If you have Graham Knightley wearing bondage trousers with a suit, despite being a salesman, you’d wonder why he dresses this way but that’s practically what people have been doing to Cammy White for years. If you’re weirded out by him wearing provocative trousers, you’d have to be weirded out by a female soldier in a thong really. It’s like they’re putting out their sexual fantasies in the open.

That’s not to say there aren’t any menfolk in video games who dress kind of scantily, though not very often because it would seem pervy or something. But that’s what people have been doing to the womenfolk and why it should be strange seeing a female soldier out and about in a thong, if you’re weirded out by a salesman wearing bondage trousers.

Was Walt Disney ever a nonce?

It’s debatable if Walt Disney actually molested somebody like Bobby Driscoll, given the book Hollywood Babylon Strikes Again largely addresses and revisits the rumours surrounding American entertainers from the mid to late 20th century. But the fact that the Disney company has a habit of attracting paedophiles that even when Walt Disney may not have been a paedophile, there are aspects to the Disney media that are appealing to such characters. Like how someone will always find a way to corrupt the young, pretend to be innocent and wholesome to let down their guard and stuff. Uncle Walt might not have been a nonce but there’s no doubting that it’s difficult for his company to maintain a wholesome facade for long.

It’s a good thing to expand your business and adapt to changing trends to remain relevant, but it seems for Disney the pressure to remain family friendly for long has put it in a spot between a hard place and a rock that it will never consistently be the family-friendly company it wants to be (seen as). The earliest attempt at this would be Touchstone Pictures, formed sometime in the 1980s as put the less family friendly fare there. Many of its films did well for themselves, often without most knowing they were made by the House of Mouse. History repeats itself by the time Disney bought most of Twenty First Century Fox, but this time it’s more upfront about these films being made by itself in a way.

It makes sense that not only are a growing number of Disney fans adults, but that less and less children are interested in watching most other Disney productions and stuff. When coupled with the wealth of paedophiles working for this company over the years, that it’s possible some kids and their parents have grown privy to their tactics and see through the mask. Though it would be damning to know and realise that Uncle Walt himself may’ve preyed upon a youngster in his care, because it makes his company’s attempt at maintaining a wholesome facade all the more duplicitous yet potent as to prey upon more unsuspecting children. It may not be immediately true but with it’s got terrifying implications.

It’s as if the saccharine nature of some Disney films (at best) feels like a ploy to lure in children and their parents, without knowing somebody’s out there to corrupt them halfway through. If Walt Disney did molest Bobby Driscoll and his company did his best to bury the memory of him so badly, so it could be said that The Walt Disney Company’s actually the most successful company as founded by a child molester. Even if other child-orientated companies like Sanrio, Soyuzmultfilm (Disney’s Cold War rival) and Nintendo aren’t any better, but Disney’s been around in people’s consciousness far longer so this makes its list of dirty secrets longer. Nintendo might have its own issues with sexual harassment.

Similar things can be said of other companies targeted by paedophiles, but Disney’s like one of the biggest offenders to date and it’s been suspected before. It goes all the way back when Walt Disney was still alive and there were some people who allege that he may have molested Bobby Driscoll, it’s probably not a good move of him to do this if he wanted to uphold his wholesome reputation. Unfortunately for as long as his company continues to bury the ghost and memory of Bobby Driscoll as to keep Walt’s reputation untarnished, the latter will continuously be relieved of the consequences that should’ve affected him.

Actually even if somebody else in the Disney company molested Bobby, it’s something the Disney company has kept it under cover for long that it’s terrifying why they wouldn’t hold people accountable for what they’ve done to him. But it’s terrifying to think that the Disney company was a paedophile magnet before, so the well was going to be poisoned anyways.

Would this fly if it were a guy?

I feel when it comes to the way male and female characters are portrayed in popular fiction (video games and crime media included), at other times it’s kind of unequal in the sense that many womenfolk are given outfits contrary to their actual intentions and personalities. It wouldn’t make sense for a character like Cammy White to wear a thong in combat, until recently if Street Fighter 6 is any indication given her stern personality. Morrigan Aensland, being a seductress, would gleefully moon around in this outfit. Imagine if you have a male character dressed up in what appears to a suit until you realise that his trousers have bondage ribbons to each side, making you wonder why on earth would he dress like this?

But the thing is that similar things have been done to female characters over the years that it’s obvious people are going to be desensitised to nearly naked women in some way, as if women are there to be looked at constantly and if they’re ready for sex or something. Not to mention I even argued that these kinds of images may even trigger someone’s body dysmorphia in a way it wouldn’t be with fashion magazines, especially when it comes to the female characters’ proportions and tendency to show more skin than needed. When it comes to clothing, one can always conceal their faults with some article of clothing. But when it comes to the way female video game and cartoon characters are portrayed, they’re almost always kind of perfect.

Maybe not necessarily perfect but given this is drawn that one can easily whip up the ideal woman, whereas with fashion you have to mold yourself to fit this. It’s like how a number of these cartoon characters rarely have cellulite in their thighs, even though women are more inclined to store that than men do, or why it’s pretty rare to find a hairy female cartoon character at all. The closest that I can think of would be Marvel’s Tigra, though she’s usually portrayed as if she were body-painted. So any depiction of Tigra as being actually hairy, as it is with her own eponymous miniseries magazine and a brief appearance in the She-Hulk stories, is occasional at best.

It’s not hard to see that female characters that consistently don’t have much body hair to begin with are going to be the majority, not just in the worlds of DC and Marvel but also something like Street Fighter, Tekken and Mortal Kombat, among many others. It’s not hard to see how this communicates the idea that the ideal female body (especially in most video games and comics) has to be without cellulite, not much body hair (which would be unfair to those who’re predisposed to being hairy) and almost always there to be gawked at. This is changing for the better in some games, something like even Concord for instance. But the backlash towards Concord points out at something.

Sort of like how there’s a lot of complaints towards this game having a fat character as a playable character, whilst this isn’t even unique to it as Overwatch has it too. But it still communicates the message that can alienate or harm those with body dysmorphic disorder, the more I think about and consider it. As for the more successful Marvel Rivals game, the only female character with a smaller bust is Peni Parker. But then again she’s a young girl, though it does communicate the message that women with smaller breasts are less womanly looking. Not helped by that most of the female characters in this game tend to have bigger breasts, coupled with narrow waists and wider hips as to impart a more zaftig figure.

Given my own struggles with body image, it’s not hard to see how and why these games could be off-putting to certain women. Instead of celebrating the female form, these images reinforce their inadequacies. To make matters worse, it’s more common for women to develop body dysmorphia so such portrayals are going to rub them off the wrong way anyways. The fact that both comics and video games struggle with female audiences should suggest that when it comes to those with body dysmorphia, which women and girls are more prone to, the way these characters are drawn often make them feel worse about themselves. It’s kind of easier to excuse these as they seem to be imaginary.

But I feel this could be even more harmful since people like Freja Beha Erichsen and Kate Moss don’t sport enormous chests, whereas Ivy Valentine and Sophitita often do which could easily trigger one’s insecurities about her breast size. Not only that but there are instances of female cartoon characters who are technically fully-clothed, but wear such skin tight outfits that could easily be body paint. It’s like they wanted a naked woman without making her actually naked, but then again it could be argued that female nudity in drawn art might be more off-putting than a photographed fully-clothed fashion model because the former could reinforce one’s insecurities about their body image.

Whereas one could appreciate the craftsmanship put into a well-done garment, though from my own experience fashion magazines are seen as kind of insubstantial. But I guess it’s easier to overlook the faults in the things you’re more biased to, even though it shouldn’t come as a surprise why these kinds of things are off-putting to others. Especially to those suffering from body dysmorphia that the stark contrast between men and women reinforces their inadequacies.

The Poor Side Of Town

Glynda Lomax prophesised that America’s wealth will be revoked, if because America puts too much faith in mammon/material possessions more than it does in God. There are other prophecies about America’s economy tanking and wealth getting depleted, with one particular prophecy saying that the poorer countries’ conditions will improve whilst their colonisers’ will tank. I can’t find it for now but it does speak volumes about how the richer countries have abandoned God for money that they will eventually experience a kind of spiritual famine, the more desperate they are for him in some way. As for America, there are those who say that it’s Mystery Babylon.

It’s the prophesised nation-state said to corrupt the entire world with its filth and abominations, its own spiritual infidelity to God that it will be destroyed by its former allies (the seven-headed monster). It’s not particularly religiously correct to say that it’s Mystery Babylon, given the nature of US religious nationalism that there’s a tendency to think of it as a new Israel. Biblical Israel never had a lot of client states the way Babylon did, not to mention Babylon was such a corrupt place that it’s the byword for anything wallowing in spiritual corruption. Especially a country like America that it’s going to be judged for what it does to itself and other countries, any country allied with it will also face judgement for wallowing with the whore of Babylon.

Once America’s riches get revoked in some way that it will no longer be able to help its allies in any way it likes, so weakened a nation-state that other countries take its place for good. It might be underway at this point but it will take a lot of catastrophes of any kind to bring it down to its knees, it will be such a problem that Donald Trump will be unable to solve easily. America will be overtaken by other countries and there’s no stopping this, it will never be powerful again despite Trump’s best efforts to do so. It has overstayed its welcome and it’s not going to be powerful for long.

When America gets destroyed

I remembering hearing God’s voice in a dream that America will get destroyed, because it is Mystery Babylon that you have somebody prophesising that this will take place. First you have an incoming flood set to attack the East Coast as well as Europe to some extent, people getting frantic because something bad’s going to happen and it’s getting out of control. Then you have a serious earthquake set to destroy and eliminate parts of California, so we’ll never get to see Disneyland and Hollywood ever again. No more Universal Theme Parks in California too, because America’s sins have gotten so out of hand that it deserves to be eliminated for all that’s worthy of judgement.

Somebody else goes on saying that civil war will happen again in the United States, aligning with Celestial’s own prophecies about the same thing. As if what she’s saying may turn out to be true in some way or another, that for all her faults she really is a prophet and used by God to help me write about the same things really. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be writing about prophecies and the like. I wouldn’t be writing more often about God this way really. As for America itself, for all its glories and popularity it truly is Mystery Babylon. It wouldn’t just get destroyed by a lot of natural disasters, it also be destroyed from within like a civil war for instance. There will be more race riots tearing this country apart.

There will be a real clash over politics that we’d have liberals and conservatives killing each other that it will lead to a serious civil war never seen in years, something that South Africa might also be at risk of falling into if it’s not careful. America will not be the same again but also not in a good way because it is being judged by God for its myriad sins and iniquities, that it will be chastised and it will disappear forever. Even if it were to remain somewhat recognisable in the future, it will never be the same nation again. It will be changed beyond recognition, it will not regain its stature that it did have before. Its allies will turn against it, they will not help it at all.

America will be undone, its influence will be undone. Not only will these natural disasters and incoming social and financial disasters will arrive soon enough, but that they will hasten the decline of America in many, many ways. Not only will America actually becoming the laughingstock of the world, it will be deserted by many people and it will never regain power. It will be under the jurisdiction of another country, especially Russia after being defeated in WWIII. America will not be great again, it is over and it will be over for a long time.

Diversity and Comics

Not so much in the DEI sense of the word, though it does come in the lines of it, but more in the sense of topics being told and offered. The problem is that the comics industry is largely patronised by geeks, so the topics offered tend to be things that interest them a lot. Like if you really want to read a comic book that’s about dog predation, you’re bound to be almost out of luck because you’re more likely to encounter yet another superhero story or something similar. These kinds of stories certainly do exist but they are rather rare, same with something like church cats and though there are those that come close, however such treatments are rare in the world of cartooning.

Although regular old cartooning does address a wider variety of topics and subject matters than most comic books do, but comic books make up a substantial number of cartoon books being published at this point. Not necessarily always a majority but rather something that makes up a good portion of the cartoon sector within the publishing industry, that even if you run into books containing cartoons you’re also likely to run into something like The Flash or My Hero Academia. Even if these kinds of stories risk being off-putting to those who don’t care about superpowered battles at all, whether or not they actually dislike those but still.

This is one diversity that deserves to be talked about, though some suspect that part of the problem is that many comic book cartoonists and writers aren’t this well-read. Not that they are unintelligent but that they have almost nothing else to tell stories with, which is why it’s easier to run into retreads of Superman’s backstory than to tell stories about Aquaman stopping dogs from eating turtle eggs. This may even be encouraged by editors themselves, who are afraid of going off-brand with these kinds of stories. If they did, they risk facing reader backlash or something like that. So there’s one possible reason why you don’t see more stories featuring the latter subject, it’s too controversial and divisive.

Given how DC and Marvel are so reliant on appealing to their most devout readers that they can’t be bothered to go left field, lest they risk alienating their biggest patrons. Something like this has already happened multiple times before, so this is why these two are increasingly cautious with the sort of stories they publish and condone. So they can’t be bothered to take further risks without alienating their most loyal readers a lot, given these two are practically cult brands at this point in time. Given this has developed over a long period of time as to be nearly inseparable.

Though both of them used to publish a much wider variety of stories being told before, but because DC and Marvel have grown so closely entwined with superheroes that could explain why despite sharing the same owner as Hanna Barbera does, the new Captain Planet comic had to be outsourced to another publisher. No surprise that Dynamite also publishes the Space Ghost comics as of late, since I feel Warner Bros sees DC as largely for the DC world. This could’ve been the case before as Jonny Quest had a comic book published before but not by DC, not to mention Captain Planet first appeared in stories as published by DC’s rival Marvel.

Admittedly, this was before Warner Brothers bought Turner Communications, but it’s not hard to see how and why Warner Bros sees DC Comics as a brand separate from its other brands. Or for another matter, how Disney sees Marvel for the same reason for most of the part. Even if Disney now owns Marvel, Disney comics proper are usually done and published outside of Marvel. Marvel is a separate brand and is treated as such for most of the part, with Disney comics being outsourced to other publishers who’re lucky enough to not only have but also retain the Disney licence for long.

I remember somebody going by the name of Jed Alexander said that these two prioritise brand consistency over anything else, not that it’s wrong to run a business but when comic books constitute a huge chunk of the brand’s shared universe it can be hard to break out of it. DC’s very own Vertigo lasted for a generously long time but then it gave way to DC Black Label, which emphasises more on recognisable DC characters this time. So this goes to show you how Warner Bros doesn’t see DC Comics as its comics publishing division, but rather as a brand to maintain and take care of.

Not that there’s anything wrong with managing brands, this explains why DC has some expectations to adhere to. So even if it were possible to pitch a comic book series that tackles the problem of dog predation, or one featuring Aquaman addressing the same it would be too controversial for DC Comics to go through so it’ll get rejected right away. So this means that even if you have comics writers who have something to put on the table, it wouldn’t be accepted immediately if it’s actually too divisive and controversial. Then you have comics writers who know nothing else to write about, so it’s easier to retell Superman’s backstory than to write a story where Aquaman confronts dogs eating turtle eggs.

This is a real problem that scientists and journalists alike know, though it’s something that rarely shows up in comics if present. It could be a combination of both where a number of writers and editors alike are hesitant towards things they’re not particularly used to, something like the subject of dogs attacking wildlife, that it’s something they wouldn’t willingly enjoy addressing in any way. So such stories aren’t just rejected but also never addressed at all at worst, so it’s not going to be something that you’d ordinarily encounter in the DC Universe. Superpowered battles are de rigeur, having Aquaman confront dog predation would be too out of the blue.

So this could be partly why comics and especially western comics aren’t diverse in terms of the kinds of stories being offered, not necessarily in the lights of DEI but in the sense of stories about the Medici and well, the Gucci family. Maybe these do show up, though rarely at that. It’s kind of bad when there are more prose nonfiction books about the Medici, than there are comics featuring the same (let alone outside of Italy, since these could exist) that speaks volumes about the things both writers and editors condone. I can’t name a single comic book that I know of that features something like the Rothschilds, which tells you about how comic books have largely come to pander to a minority.

This may not always be the case, but it makes sense why comics are the way they are. Like many of them are often written by people who have little else to say about the matter, it almost always relates back to geek culture in some way or another. Maybe not always but it’s often like this with many comics at this point. This is getting better at this point, though it remains to be seen if there’ll be more comics authors who are interested in these sorts of things. It is getting better though it’s more widespread outside of superhero comics and possibly outside of Anglophone comics, see also Japanese comics (AKA manga) to give you an idea of what others are talking about.

Though unfortunately, it seems Anglophone comics are hamstrung by many things. But most especially a near-overreliance on familiar brands like DC, Marvel and the like, that makes it risk-averse to certain concepts and themes in some regards really.

This Is America

There are people who say that God is judging America for its wickedness, that no sooner or later it will dismantle itself. No sooner or later, it will decline. Similar things can be said of Europe, but where it will come under Russian occupation, which is very in line with what Celestial’s been saying on The Master’s Voice. I feel the western world will really be judged harshly for its sins, particularly abandoning God in favour of the world, considering that it was Christian longer than other places are. At this point, it’s the west that popularises and condones abominations and things like LGBT marriage, pornography, polyamory (and other forms of nonmonogamy), so on and so forth that it will be judged.

I’ve been saying on this blog and elsewhere that the Philippines will also be judged for its wickedness and sins that God will allow China to take over us, the way he made Babylon do it to Judah for the same reason. Add to that God is looking to revoke American influence wherever it went and spread, so this will be undone all over the world. Maybe not entirely but enough to wipe away those sinful stains, something like how the Philippines will go from being bilingual in Tagalog and English, to being bilingual in Mandarin and Tagalog. American media and music will no longer be popular around the world, they will even be detested and distrusted by many. American soft power will become passe.

American music wouldn’t just become unpopular, but so despised that Philippine radio stations will go on strike to get rid of that annoying American stuff themselves. Especially in Metro Manila among many secular radio stations that when they do go back to being on air, they will play a lot of not only local music but also Japanese, Chinese and Korean music more. America will become more and more despised by even all its allies, that the minute it gets destroyed real badly it will also be more fashionable to hate it in the near future.

Going Underground

Somebody on 444ProphecyNews said that America isn’t just knee deep in abomination, but also sexual sins and how and why it’s truly deserving of the title Mystery Babylon. If God doesn’t judge America for what it has done onto others and itself, then he has to owe both Sodom and Gomorrah an apology. America has gone so far from its Christian roots, if it has any at all, that it has become a spiritual cesspit. It popularises and condone nearly every sin and abomination as possible, despite talking loudly about its Christian heritage every now and then. America really is Mystery Babylon in a way no other country comes close, in terms of the scale of how far and deep its influence goes. It is the cesspit’s cesspit, a nation no Christian majority country should turn (in)to and follow.

Celestial said that America will drown forever, which ties with Anointed Melody’s other prophecy about America becoming totally destroyed in 10 years from now. There’s a Biblical passage about Babylon becoming deserted and uninhabited, perhaps save for wildlife, which is what America will be getting. The original Babylon wasn’t really flooded, at least until future evidence points out that it did, but America will really drown forever and never to be seen again. What kind of nation calls itself Christian and yet does a lot to the contrary? What kind of country takes pride in its Christian heritage, yet is so knee deep in abomination and refuses to repent? It really does make America look worse, given its Christian past. So it really is knee deep in abomination.

Even if it were possible for America to continue in the future, it wouldn’t continue from its current form because its inhabitants will be enslaved by America’s enemies and it will be largely uninhabitable. Nuclear bombs, natural disasters, loads more coming to punish America the way God sees fit. I even woke up from a dream where God told me that America is Mystery Babylon and it will be destroyed, so America will not continue from its present form and it will vanish for good.
