By the time DC ever turns Caitlin Snow into an intersex werewolf, we shouldn’t forget her predecessors. DC already had a female werewolf in House of Mystery before but Marvel beat DC to it by having a seriously recurring one in Rahne Sinclair. She even appeared on telly ahead of Killer Frost as early as the 1990s and was going to appear on film.
Of course this’ll invite accusations of plagiarisms. The only other problem is that there aren’t enough female werewolves at least in contemporary Western popular culture. They’re obviously far more abundant in folklore especially at some point or another when they’re interchangeable with witches and demons enough to be considered witches themselves.
(I’ve read enough reports of witches having dogs for familiars and witches becoming dogs themselves.)
