Here’s an outline for what would be one of the strangest mashups yet to come, that is is I took the time to research on those. ‘Dialogue between a ghost and a libertine’ is ‘Dialogue between a priest and a dying man’ transposed onto The Divine Comedy with Marquis de Sade replacing Dante Alighieri and the latter in turn replacing Virgil.
Except that even when it’s replicated, it’d be altered to include references to 18th century France and Italy and due to Sade’s stubborn blasphemy Dante will leave him in one of the circles of hell as he returns to Heaven. If you want it to be more precise, whatever hells Sade ventures into would diverge from the original version, whether subtly or blatantly so.
It could inspire a lot of people if I ever got into doing it at all.
