Religion in cartoons

This is the hardest to handle without offending or misinterpreting certain beliefs without being preachy. If the 2005 Muhammad cartoons and the X-Men Gold controversy are any indication, one has to respect other beliefs to reach a wide market. That’s a good way to avoid insulting either group.

It can be possible without being preachy but one has to work hard at appealing to a larger audience by not alienating them. That way, a certain work can be appreciated by many and serve as a gateway drug for some. That’s not an easy balance as it involves a better understanding of such things as well as respect for those.

It’s really a subject matter left best to certain people.
